Hey guys, I was listening to the record again and despite the pats on the back for producing a decent sounding recording something just kept bothering my ears. Trying to hang in there with the big boys volume wise was really compromising my sound quality.
Now I know that in my song I the raised the point that dynamic range compression was a bigger threat to music than auto pitch correction technology. However at the time of mixing, I too hypocritically over compressed the sound you were hearing.
I apologize to music enthusiasts, musicians and engineers alike and from this day on I will adhere to a minimum dynamic range of 14dB.
